An immortal fire fighter who seeks to avenge the death of his family and clan, the Shirai Ryu, by killing the assassin Sub-Zero.
He wears a distinctive yellow costume throughout the Mortal Kombat series, symbolizing treachery.Mortal Kombat's Sub-Zero died by his hand.
During the second tournament, Scorpion met Kuai Lang, the brother of his assassin, who also took the name Sub-Zero.
On seeing him, Scorpion realized it was his brother and decided to spare him and take him under his wing.
