Every MMO I play, I create Zelda themed characters. I’m a big fan of Zelda and I love its medieval fantasy setting and characters. In ESO I created Link and Ganondorf. I have hidden the character names because of a dumb pseudo rule ZOS created.
“No name that contains or refers to popular characters/names.”
“No name that contains or refers to copyrighted characters.”
Its a rule that isn’t regulated by ZOS staff members and they are chill about it. I sent a ticket to ZOS about it and they said they don’t enforce the rule and are cool with it, but if a character gets reported they will be forced to rename. So essentially trolls will report people who have names of fictional characters and get them forced rename to ruin their day.
Its a dumb rule because every other MMO in the world (Warcraft, LOTRO, Maplestory, Guild Wars 2, ect) let you name your character anything (including characters from other series or popular culture) as long as it isn’t inappropriate.
He looks great!
