Information obtained primarily from Update 13 Patch Notes.
All six tradeskills allow you to craft furnishing items. Like Provisioning, you must obtain schematics, or plans, before you can craft furnishings. You can acquire plans in containers across the world, purchased from certain merchants, dropped from monsters, or even from pickpoketing (or murdering) Tamrielic citizens.
Each tradeskill has a unique type of plan and primarily uses a new type of material.
Crafting Type | Plan Name | Material | Location |
---|---|---|---|
Alchemy | Formula | Alchemical Resin | Mushrooms, alchemy plants |
Blacksmithing | Diagram | Regulus | Ore nodes |
Clothing | Pattern | Bast Clean Pelts | Fibrous plants Beasts and other sources of leather |
Enchanting | Praxise | Mundane Rune | Runestones |
Jewelry | Sketch | Ochre | Dust nodes |
Provisioning | Design | Decorative Wax | Crates, barrels, and other sources of provisioning materials |
Woodworking | Blueprint | Heartwood | Lumber nodes |
Crafting furnishings also utilizes several additional types of materials. Furnishings in a particular racial style require multiple style items associated with that race, but you do not need to know the racial motif to learn or craft their furnishings plans. Rosins, Tempers, and Tannins are often needed for Green-quality furnishings and higher.
Some higher level plans require knowledge from multiple tradeskills. For example, an elaborate canopy bed may require rank 9 in the passive skill Woodworking, rank 7 in Tailoring, and rank 3 in Metalworking. Each plan is unique and some special plans require custom ingredients be located and included.
All plans, ingredients, and output items are tradeable.
All tradeskills have a new tab at their respective stations for crafting furnishings.
