Raiden is the eternal God of Thunder, the protector of the Earth Kingdom and undoubtedly one of the most powerful characters in Mortal Kombat.
After Shinnok's second defeat, he was elevated to the rank of Elder God.
Due to his divine nature, he possesses many supernatural abilities, such as teleportation, lightning control and flight.
He is also more inclined to think in terms of eternity than the normal human lifespan, and has a radically different outlook on life.
